The Most Common Health Insurance Questions We Answer

Frequently Asked Questions: Florida Healthcare Insurance

As an award winning insurance agent in Florida for over 20 years, we have been asked literally thousands of questions by our clients. Below we have curated some of our most frequently asked questions about health, life, Medicare and disability insurance.

If you have any questions about Florida Healthcare Insurance that weren’t addressed below, please call (954) 282-6891. We love talking to present and future clients, and sincerely appreciate your interest in choosing us to be your healthcare insurance provider in Florida.

It won’t cost you anything to work with Florida Healthcare Insurance! We receive compensation from the wide array of insurance carriers that we’ve partnered with. So, you’ll never have to pay for our assistance.

Unfortunately, the process of purchasing health insurance in this day and age can be complicated. This can make it difficult to find the right plan for you. Our skilled team will take the work off your hands, helping you to understand your options and set up your policy. Once you’ve been approved for your health insurance plan, we’ll provide you with help and support throughout the time that you’re covered. Since our services come at no added charge, you have nothing to lose (and much to gain) by leaving the hard work to us.

We work with the country’s leading health insurance carriers, which offer the most extensive provider networks around. So, you’ll likely be able to continue with most of your current doctors, if not all of them.

There’s no contract with health insurance – you’ll be able to cancel your plan at any time. That said, please notify us at least a week in advance if you’d like to cancel your health insurance plan. This will allow us to inform the insurance carrier and leave time for processing your request.

Typically, the insurance carrier will require an automatic payment from your checking account, credit card, or debit card. We suggest that all clients use their checking accounts for automatic payments, as this payment method provides the best security. Automatic payments are generally made once per month, with the first payment withdrawn on the date that your coverage goes into effect.

If you give us a call, we can review your options and fully set up your healthcare coverage in Florida within 10 minutes!

We like working with individuals and small entities, rather than large corporations. Examples of the types of clients that we usually work with include:

  • Self-employed individuals and independent contractors
  • Small business owners
  • Those who are unemployed or recently lost employment
  • Students
  • Individuals on COBRA
  • Individuals with an expensive ACA/Obamacare/Marketplace plan
  • Individuals looking to cut the cost of their health insurance

These forms of health insurance are virtually all the same. The Affordable Care Act is the healthcare reform law officially put into effect in 2010. Obamacare is an unofficial term often used for ACA plans and marketplace plans. These types of plans often come with high rates and aren’t accepted by a wide selection of medical providers. At Florida Healthcare Insurance, we can help you find a superior, cost-saving alternative.

No, the “individual mandate” to have an ACA plan was repealed as of January 1st, 2019.

We serve clients all across the United States of America from our office in Florida.  No matter the state that you’re in, we can help you find the right health coverage for your needs.
